This is really a great principle for a customer service strategy or may be even a business success strategy. I think this is a great principle, to have in life anyway.

Actually this quote is not just about selling to our customers but also to our suppliers and other stakeholders (staff, community and investors) around our business (and life). After all what is customer services if not giving people what they want or need.

Not dissimilar to true friendships:

1. Answer the phone...and with a smile

2. Listen to what they want.

3. Be helpful – you don’t build good friendships over night some times they are just window shopping.

4. Go the extra mile – the profit or benefit may not manifest today but tomorrow will be two fold.

5. "You can't please all the people all the time" just be patient your turn will come. One size doesn’t fit all.

6. Be honest – don’t pull the wool over their eyes.

7. Add to this a creative personalised service.
