Small Business Solutions is a new Smart State initiative designed to enhance the business skills, profitability and growth of small businesses across Queensland.
An outcome of the Queensland Skills Plan, the program was developed by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts in conjunction with TAFE Queensland and Skilling Solutions Queensland. Helen Cowley is one of the Small Business Mentors available to help you. She will listen to you and offer solutions, at your place of business, in an on-going capacity. She will undertake a Business Health Check on your business which will assist in diagnosing how well your business is performing and will provide assistance with strategies to take your organisation to the next level.
The program will enable small businesses to access personalised one-on-one mentoring from experienced and qualified small business professionals, for as little as $250 for three one hour sessions to $1000 for monthly one hour consultations over a year.
In addition, small business owners and operators will have the opportunity to gain a formal qualification of their industry knowledge and skills through recognition of prior learning, whilst having ongoing access to relevant information to support their business.
Small businesses, micro businesses and home-based businesses will greatly benefit from the targeted, affordable and big picture one-on-one mentoring.
